| To begin setting up an account
in Outlook 2000:
Step 1:
To open the Internet Accounts panel
Select: Tools>Accounts |
|

|
Step 2:
On the Internet Accounts panel
Select: Add > Mail |
|

|
|
Step 3:
You will be prompted to enter a Display
Name. This will be the name which identifies you in your outgoing
mail. Select 'Next'. |
|

|
Step 4:
Enter your E-mail address and click 'Next'. |
|

|
|
Step 5:
In both 'Incoming Mail' and 'Outgoing Mail'
replacing 'yourdomain' with your domain name:
(i.e. mail.thecyberimage.com) |
|

|
Step 6:
Enter your User Name and Password which has
been assigned to you. |
|

|
|
Step 7:
Select the method by which you connect to
the internet. |
|

|
|
Step 7:
Select 'Finish' to exit the Internet
Connection Wizard. |
|

|
|
Step 8:
After closing the Internet Connection Wizard
finishes you should still be able to see the Internet Accounts
panel. If you do not see this panel you can access it by following
the same process for Step 1:
On the menu bar select: Tools>Accounts
You should see the email account that you
just created listed in this panel. |
|

Step 9:
Select your account and click Properties
on your Internet Accounts Panel. |
|

|
Step 10:
Select the tab marked 'Servers'
|
|

|
|
Step 11:
Make certain the box next to 'My server
requires authentication' is selected. |
|

|
|
Step 12:
Click 'OK' to update your settings. |
|

|
|
Step 13:
Try and send a test e-mail. If that email is
sent/received successfully, you're finished!
If you receive an error when you attempt to
send/receive an e-mail, continue to the Outlook Troubleshooting section
here.
