Have you ever seen, "this site best viewed with 800x600
resolution" or "adjust your resolution to 640x480 to print
this pattern." If you use free Internet
access, you will want to make your screen as large as possible,
to accommodate the advertising.
Some computers come with manual adjustments that allow you to adjust the
settings of your monitor. Some older computers do not have this option.
If you want more screen area to work with, you can change the
resolution, which will in effect make everything smaller, but there will
be more area on the screen. The best thing to do is to try various settings and see
how they feel to work with. For a 15-inch monitor, 800x600 resolution is
very comfortable to work with. If you have a larger monitor, a setting
of 1024x768, may work for you. You can always change them back to your
original settings.

To access your display settings:
click Start
click Settings
click Control Panel
double click Display
click Click the Settings Tab
Or simply right click anywhere on the desktop (not touching an icon) and
then left click on properties, now choose the settings tab.

In the "display area" slide the slide bar, until you see
640x680, 800x600, or 1024x768. Select the setting you want to try. Click
on "apply" and follow the directions on your screen.
